So, my thoughts...

I loved the whole NaruHina bit. I'm thinking 'Kishi, you better pull this through and not blow it!' this is a great sign, and borderline official pairing for the manga.

WHile its great that Neji's death was used to help further development, in a way, I feel it was also downplayed a little.
I do wish there was a little more mourning at the beginning.
Now, I am not kishi, but how I would have done it, would have been like this...

Hinata falls to her knees, tears strewning her cheeks as the dead body of her cousin... no, brother, lat on the ground, his bird cage seal gone, singnifying that his life was no longer there.
Naruto looked down at the two hyuuga, stunned, and shocked, as Obito mocked the words he had said earlier about not letting his friends die.

Naruto looked around, so many injured, TenTen, and Lee rushing over to their fallen comrade, tears in their eyes, forgetting the war that was around them, only wanting to be with the one they cared for.
Gai, hanging his head, his student dead; this was NOT youthful...

Tenten feel to her knees, as she skidded to a stop, beside the Hyuuga, shaking him, yelling at him to wake up and not leave. Lee stood back, his anger building, as he tried to hold back the sadness at seeing his friend, and team rival lay broken, and bloodied... the lifeless look more than he could bare.

Naruto could see the pain, the anguish in so many faces, as Obitos words ran through Naruto's brain.
His arm began to raise, Hinata looked up to the silent naruto, seeing the pain in his eyes, and the slow draining of his resilience.

No... not Naruto.

The slap could be heard across the batlefield, nruto's eyes wide as he felt the sting, before the soft caress of her hand, her skin rough from the days fighting, yet, with still such a gentleness to them.

and i think that would have been a slightly better start up, focusing on Neji's death more, showing the pains in others eyes, that would torment Naruto more as Obito talked, rather than the general view points that we were given.
I know he just witnessed a friend die in front of him, but there was lmost very little shock development, heck, have him look at his hands, and see neji's blood on them, give him something to feel horrible about, by using it as a metaphor, like he literally 'has neji's blood on his hands' as in the blame.

I just think, that Neji]s team should have made more of a presence as well. I know its a battle condition, so runing to his sid,e like I just wrote, may seem a little much for professional 'soldiers' but, I've seen films, heard war stories of good friends doing that amidst the cannon/grenade/rifle fire of war. THe least we could have seen was a couple of panels of reaction, even if it was scream filled tears from them!

THe whole thing does give me idea's though. Imagine if Neji was restored by the rinnengan, and his bird cage seal was still gone, as it lost its power. kinda like an inpromptu Hyuuga reboot, after a systemcrash XD but, who knows what might happen after this war.

Heck, some people have said that after the war the series ends... but then, what about Sasuke? Hell no if kishi gives us some weak ass rushed sasuke vs naruto arc thats like a tag on to the end.

Naruto, in full kyuubi mode is at the least ten times more powerful than the last time he and sasuke fought, and besides, he with his team and orochimaru are off somewhere else to find something, whatever is in that scroll to make him more powerful.
And essentially, the same day is still going on since Naruto entered the war, met itachi, who then met up with Kabuto, and Sasuke, who in turn rejoined his team, and pulled orochimaru out of Anko... heck, all of this could be in within 6-12 hours, and i am sure this fight, and thus the war, will be over soon.

My hope is... a part three, in which will be a build up to the final fight between naruto and Sasuke.


anyway, back to Naruhina...

This does look good for the pairing, as I said, borderline official. but, until naruto (kisses/confesses to/goes on a date with) Hinata, it's just a tease. AN AWESOME tease, since its naruhina fluff but still, not quite official. Like when you order a burger from mcdonalds, until you have the burger in your hand, you don't have it, but its on its way
So, come on kishi and get them smooching soon!!

also, considering the NaruHina scene in which she is talking and giving him confidence... this is such a confirmation that I have been writing their relationship right in NHC as always, when Naruto is in the dumps, dr Hinata gives him the councilling he needs through her love for him. And even when he is at his most vulnerable, she is there to help and guide him back to himself.
I was thinking as I was reading 'hey... this is exactly how I essentially would have written this scene in NHC... heck, this is how Naruto and hinata ARE in NHC, Naruto getting his support from Hinata, using her kind nature, but willing to tell him off and tell him to stop thinking he is alone in his worries!!' so, this makes me happy that I have gotten the relationship dynamics pretty much right XD

As for other pairings that now seem less possible (yes, referring mostly to the NaruSaku fandom', I'm not going to say 'suck it' or anything else. If you feel put out that NaruHina is now stronger, don't hate on it. continue to enjoy your pairing, like many others enjoy there more crack pairings. Heck, i am a major NaruHina fan, some of you may have noticed XDD but I enjoy crack pairings too, heck, I even have a tope 5 Naru Pairings list. XD And one for Hianta too, with reasons of why I like them, and yes... they differ, and it may be just ONE reason i like them, which is unfortunate, as it limits what you can do withthem.

For example (not giving names, I don't want the hassle of the few people who would go, 'ewww, you LIKE them?!' or, 'I thought you were a naruhina pureist... you (censored)' i'm getting bored of the latter. I'm a naruhina supporter... not a naruHina nazi... -__-.... anyway....)

For naruto, there is an OC pairing I quite enjoy just because I find there is an intensity in their relationship, but, its just more a physical thing, than a romantic. I can only see romance so far with that pairing.

For hinata, there is one I like, but only for one reason, the forbidden-ness of it. THese two shouldn't be together. Yet, in certain situations, I find, its interesting. But I could never really see them together, or at least for long, like most crack pairings, in my own mind.

but as I said, these are all after NaruHina as the best, and my favourite pairing.

one last thing.... last page of the chapter... HInata's hair flying up... DBZ!!! XDDD
and is he sharing his kyuubi chakra with her?! since it has engulfed her too?

so... I guess that is all I have to say on this chapter, besides.... NHFTW BI-ATCHES!!!

also... I have decided to no longer accept payment before a project. I put a lot of effort in to the thumbnails of a commission, only for the project to be withdrawn, and refunded. So, I will only take payment when I start the project. As such, those who have already pre-paid, your projects have been moved to the top of the commission list to be done first, and then, I will resume from the top of the list as I do each one.

Also, i have been asked several times, what s the delay time for requests/commissions/etc, and my answer is... I have no idea. I'm just trying to get them done. BUT i WILL get them done in time.
