when i was in middle school i remember reading a book which contained a fable for the African Savannah. Th Story goes that a father and king went hunting alone. but did not return. The then pregnant mother gave birth to her5th son and when the child was old enough the child's first words were 'where is father'. After noticing that the had been gone far longer than he should have the 4 previous sons went looking for him only to find him dead. Using magic the four sons each took a turn in giving the skeleton of their father new life. As such the father returned home with his four sons and they had a welcome home feast in celebration of his return. At the climax of the feast the father announced he was going to name an heir in case such a thing ever happened again, that his people would be taken care of. Although the 4 sons each pronounced a claim to be the heir, the father chose his youngest as his heir as the youngest had shown the wisdom to recognize his father's disappearance . and so the Father named the morale of the story which has stuck with me ever since i have read it. "A Person is only ever truly dead when they have been forgotten.' By taking over her sister's work i believe the new is honoring her the best. My heart goes out to each of her family and loved ones in turn. Remember her and honor her by living your life with her in your heart and she will never truly have left you.
