One things, Hotaru attacked him from above, didn't she? Then why she can attack like in panel 2 (That attack looks like a frontal attack)?

Essentially it is, she actually slashed downwards as she landed. She would have been on top of him but he moved. I guess I could have drawn higher in the air :P

Hell... since the similarities are so apparent, maybe you could work an angle off that. I was actually convinced for a while that he was going to end up being one of Orochimaru's experiments. Maybe if Oro tried to clone himself permanently??
